The Argentine players claimed the titles after defeating their compatriots Burruchaga and Ortenzi, respectively, in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Mariano Navone and Julia Riera were crowned champions today at the Road to Australia Presented by SAP, held from December 16 to 20 at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club, following two finals marked by an outstanding level of play.

Riera sealed her title by defeating Jazmin Ortenzi 6–4, 6–3 in just over an hour of play. “Having this adrenaline rush in the middle of the preseason worked out really well. I’m really eager to travel to Australia,” said the world No. 181 in the WTA rankings.

Navone, meanwhile, overcame Román Burruchaga 7–5, 4–6, 10–7 to secure the men’s title. “I’m grateful to the entire organization that made this possible. It’s great to have a surface here that’s similar to Australia. Hopefully, we’ll be able to meet again next year,” analyzed the world No. 72 in the ATP rankings.

The awards ceremony featured Emiliano Serrano, Founder & CEO of WeGrow Sports and Director of Road2Aus, along with Andrés Schneiter, Co-Director of the tournament.
