ATP 250 LOS CABOS. by Gabriel Matteazzi
Stefanos Tsitsipas sealed a fantastic week at the ATP 250 in Los Cabos by becoming the champion. On Mexican soil, the Greek defeated Australian Alex De Miñaur 6-3 and 6-4, lifting a trophy outside of Europe for the first time.
For the Athens native, this victory holds great significance as it marked his first of the season. In fact, Tsitsipas hadn’t lifted a trophy since the ATP 250 in Mallorca in June 2022.
Furthermore, Los Cabos is the tenth ATP-level title that the Greek has claimed, adding to his victories in Stockholm, Marseille (twice), Estoril, Lyon, Mallorca, Monte Carlo (also twice), and the ATP Finals.
Finally, thanks to this victory, Tsitsipas will move up one position in the world rankings, and starting next Monday, he will be ranked number 4. Only ahead of him are Daniil Medvedev, Novak Djokovic, and Carlos Alcaraz.
