Radu Albot, 34, the 2019 champion here, is one win away from qualifying for his seventh DBO main draw. In that championship run, he defeated Ivo Karlovic, Nick Kyrgios, Steve Johnson, Mackenzie McDonald and Daniel Evans, winning four three-set matches and two third-set tiebreaks including one in the final. Last year, he upset second seed Tommy Paul to reach the semifinals. He faces Terence Atmane in the final round of qualifying.
ATP Tour player Alex Michelsen will participate in Sunday’s clinic. The national organization allows children with autism to have fun while learning the sport of tennis, as well as improve their motor skills, social skills, and hand-eye coordination. The clinic is on-site from 9:30-10:30.
