Svitolina arrived in Paris full of confidence after capturing the WTA 1000 title in Rome, and her latest triumph confirmed her outstanding form on clay this season. With the win, she moved into the quarterfinals, where she is set to face fellow Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk.
The upcoming clash promises to be one of the highlights of the women’s draw. Beyond being an all-Ukrainian showdown, it will feature two of the hottest players on clay in 2026. Kostyuk enters the match after producing a massive upset against Iga Świątek, the four-time Roland Garros champion.
