ROLAND GARROS. Paris
Carlos Alcaraz, the defending champion, defeated Jannik Sinner after an epic comeback with a 4-6, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (10-2) victory.
Carlos Alcaraz: “I know how tough this tournament is—it’s a privilege to make history with you.”
“I want to thank my team and my family for everything,” Alcaraz said. “I’m fortunate to share these great moments with you. A lot of people came all the way from Murcia to support me—your support over these two weeks has been incredible. To everyone who couldn’t make it but was cheering from home, thank you so much. This trophy is yours too.”
Alcaraz, who received the Musketeers’ Cup from a legend of the game, American icon André Agassi, claimed the fifth Grand Slam title of his career. His previous victories include the US Open 2022, Roland Garros 2024, and back-to-back titles at Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024.
In those finals, Alcaraz showcased his remarkable talent and resilience—especially at Wimbledon 2023, where he overcame Novak Djokovic in a five-set thriller, and at the US Open 2022, where he became the youngest men’s champion since Pete Sampras.
With this win, the Spaniard captures the fifth Grand Slam title of his career. His previous triumphs include:
US Open 2022, where he became the youngest No.1 in ATP history after defeating Casper Ruud in the final.
Wimbledon 2023, where he stopped Novak Djokovic in a five-set classic, denying the Serb his fifth consecutive title.
Wimbledon 2024, where he defended his crown with calm dominance against them.
Roland Garros 2024, where he first conquered the red clay of Paris in Rafael Nadal land.
Now, with a second Roland Garros title in 2025, Alcaraz further cements his place among the greats of the sport—at just 22 years old.
