ARGENTINA OPEN.Buenos Aires..Francisco Cerúndolo defeated Luciano Darderi 6-4, 6-2 to claim the 2026 Argentina Open title on the Guillermo Vilas Court. The Argentine lifted the trophy for the first time after losing the finals in 2021 and 2025 to Diego Schwartzman and Joao Fonseca, respectively.
After the victory, the champion didn’t hide his emotions, highlighting the value of the achievement: “I’m extremely happy, I couldn’t ask for more. I’ve worked and trained a lot for this over the years, and to enjoy it here with my people is amazing.” He also referenced the previous finals and emphasized his perseverance: “It hadn’t come my way, and my goal was to get this new chance.
