QUATERFINALS SET AT THE IEB+ ARGENTINA OPEN

ATP 250 ARGENTINA OPEN
The IEB+ Argentina Open continues to gather pace, with the quarterfinal lineup now confirmed after an intense day of action that produced a balanced outcome for the home players: two wins and two losses in the singles draw.

Play on the Guillermo Vilas Central Court got underway with a solid performance by Luciano Darderi, who defeated Chile’s Tomás Barrios Vera 6-1, 6-3 in one hour and twenty minutes. Spain’s Pedro Martínez then moved on by edging out Juan Manuel Cerúndolo 7-6(5), 6-4.

In the night session, Sebastián Báez delivered a high-level display to defeat Peru’s Ignacio Buse 6-4, 6-3 without major trouble. The day concluded with an all-Argentine clash, as Camilo Ugo Carabelli overcame Mariano Navone 6-2, 7-5 to claim the final spot in the quarterfinals.

Doubles action also produced notable results. The pairing of Máximo González and Andrés Molteni advanced with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Gonzalo Escobar and Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela. Meanwhile, Nicolás Kicker and Andrea Collarini defeated Marcelo Demoliner and Fernando Romboli 6-3, 6-4 to book their place in the next round.
