Jannik Sinner delivered a statement victory on Sunday at the Rolex Paris Masters, capturing his fifth ATP Masters 1000 title and reclaiming the world No. 1 ranking in commanding fashion.
The 24-year-old Italian showcased his trademark poise and precision to defeat Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 7-6(4) in a tightly contested final, earning his first-ever triumph at the prestigious Paris event. Sinner’s flawless run through the draw — without dropping a single set — made him the first player since Carlos Alcaraz (Indian Wells 2023) to claim a Masters 1000 crown with a perfect record. His indoor dominance also continues to impress, as he extends his winning streak under the roof to 26 consecutive matches.
For Auger-Aliassime, the week marked a crucial resurgence. Reaching his second Masters 1000 final propels the Canadian into eighth place in the Race to Turin, giving him a 160-point edge over Lorenzo Musetti. He now heads to Metz in pursuit of the final qualifying spot for the Nitto ATP Finals, with renewed confidence and momentum after a stellar run in Paris.
“It’s huge, honestly, it was such an intense final, and we both knew what was on the line,” Sinner said after his one-hour, 52-minute win. “I’m extremely happy, the past couple of months have been amazing. We try to work on things and seeing this result makes me incredibly happy. Another title this year… It’s been an amazing year regardless of what comes in Turin.”
