ZVEREV VOICES COMPLAINTS AFTER HEAVY FINAL DEFEAT

ATP Masters 1000 Madrid – Spain
There was barely a contest this Sunday as Italy’s Jannik Sinner (World No. 1) dismantled Germany’s Alexander Zverev (No. 3) 6-1, 6-2 in just 57 minutes to claim the Madrid Open title and reach an unprecedented milestone in tennis history—prompting a notable complaint from his opponent.

“I like playing night matches here, but I feel a bit of jet lag because over the past week I don’t think I went to bed before 4 a.m. even once. It’s difficult,” Zverev explained. “I understand that night matches are more popular with the crowd, but if that’s the case, the final should also be played at night. That would feel fairer for both players.”
