QUEENS AND KINGS OF PADEL SHINE IN MIAMI

MIAMI, Florida — By Emiliano Naftali, accredited to the event
A thrilling night of padel took over the Miami Beach Convention Center, where nearly five hours of intense action crowned the champions of the Miami Premier Padel P1. Just like last season, the No. 2 seeded pairs walked away with the trophies, confirming once again how balanced and unpredictable the Premier Padel circuit has become.

On the women’s side, Paula Josemaría and Bea González celebrated their first Premier Padel title together, while in the men’s draw Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán repeated their winning performance in Florida after already triumphing there in 2025. Both finals delivered spectacular entertainment, with the champions needing three sets to secure victory.

WOMEN

Josemaría and González produced one of the comebacks of the tournament. After taking the first set 6-3 and conceding the second 6-4, they were on the verge of defeat at 3-5 in the deciding set against Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay, last year’s Miami champions. But the Spanish duo showed character and determination, winning four consecutive games to complete a dramatic turnaround and finally capture their first title of the season after two hours and 57 minutes of battle.

“We have worked incredibly hard for this moment,” said an emotional Paula Josemaría, who struggled to hold back tears after the match. “We dreamed about winning our first title together. I want to thank everyone who supports us all the time, and especially my family for always being there for me.”

“The season didn’t begin the way we expected, but we kept trusting the process and working alongside our team,” added Bea González. “We stayed loyal to our style and focused on improving every detail. Today we can truly enjoy this victory.”

MEN

The men’s final also lived up to expectations, with Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán overcoming Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 in a high-quality contest lasting one hour and 51 minutes.

The difference came down to small margins in a match filled with spectacular points and relentless intensity. Chingotto and Galán finished with slightly better numbers in winners, smashes and unforced errors, enough to secure their second title of the 2026 season after Gijón and defend their Miami crown successfully.

“Thank you to everyone who came to support us,” said Galán after the victory. “It was an extremely difficult tournament and we’re very happy to win here again. Arturo and Agus are an incredible team, but day by day we keep pushing ourselves to achieve victories like this. Federico played an unbelievable final and I’m proud to share the court with him.”

“Every final tells a different story,” added Chingotto with a smile. “We’ll continue working hard for the ‘Chingalaneta’ and now our focus is already on the next challenge.”
