Federico Chingotto and Madrid-born Alejandro Galán claimed the final of the Buenos Aires Premier Padel P1 after defeating the duo formed by Catamarca native AgustÃn Tapia and Spain’s Arturo Coello 6-2, 6-1 at the Estadio Mary Terán de Weiss in Parque Roca.
With the victory, Chingotto and Galán captured their fifth title of the 2026 season and strengthened their push for the lead in the Race standings of the International Padel Federation amid a true festive atmosphere with a sold-out crowd.
In that setting, Chingotto and Galán once again showed why they are one of the benchmark pairs on the circuit, confirming their current dominance over the Coello-Tapia partnership by defeating them for the third consecutive time in a P1 final during the 2026 season.
On the women’s side, the world number one pair of Argentina’s Delfina Brea and Spain’s Gemma Triay Pons fell to Paula JosemarÃa and Beatriz González 6-3, 7-5. The Spanish duo, currently ranked No. 3 and No. 4 in the world, delivered a strong performance to capture the title in Buenos Aires.
